Expressionist
In my paintings, an important role is played by strong colour, which comes from my experiences as a painter, and a system of signs and symbols that narrate the world close to me. The local landscapes in my paintings become a place for personal reflections on my own condition and the changes in the surrounding matter. My paintings balance between expression, abstraction and primitivism and it is in these areas that my aesthetics are formed. I want ‘The vital function of my art is to show the erosion of the world and how my reflection can help to change it.
Bio
Łukasz Szydłowski (1982)
I am Polish artist. I graduate Academy of Fine art in Poznań in 2008 on the Painting and graphics cathedral.
In 2004 r. I recived stipend form MKiDN.
My artworks was particiape in competitions:– Competition Marii Dokowicz w Poznaniu, Arsenał gallery in 2008r.
– IV Bienal Iberoamericana de Obra Gráfica. Ciudad de Cáceres w 2011r.
– V edycji Międzynarodowego Konkursu Rysunku we Wrocławiu w 2012r.
Now i live and work in Promnice village in Poland.Selected exhibition:
